2019 Launch of Junior Carnival

The air was filled with Colours, themes and excitement at the 2019 launch of Junior Carnival.

    

 

According to the President of the Carnival Bands Association, Barry George, the aim of the inaugural press launch was to introduce the new bands to the public and increase each band’s notoriety. “We featured eight of the bands that will be competing for Junior Carnival which will be on the 7th of July at the Sab and the eight bands of course will be competing in four major categories which is the individual of the year, the Junior king and junior queen of the bands and of course the band of the year title, “George says.

 

    The president also unveiled the existence of a new route to be utilized by the bands in 2019. George notes the effort should ensure a safer environment for the children to have fun. “We trying to make a more friendly environment for the kids and we want to bring a more spectator aspect for those coming to watch junior carnival. The roadside sometimes while it works, we’re trying to create an area where families can come in, seating and look upon the stage. We want it to be interactive where there is a family village that the event can host everybody, in terms of bouncy castles a place where it’s safe and sound for the children to parade in junior carnival,” George adds.

 

Junior Carnival is scheduled for July 7, 2019 at the Sab playing field.
