THE LIVE TO SOAR CORPORATION WILL FACILITATE SYMPOSIUMS TO BE HELD IN CASTRIES, VIEUX FORT.

Saint Lucian school counsellors, through the Division of Education, are receiving help from an external not-for-profit agency, to help inspire youth to successfully pursue their dreams in a career in aviation.

Mr. Neil Justin, an airline pilot, and the Live to Soar Corporation will facilitate symposiums to be held in the north and south of the island, under the theme: Soaring through Turbulence.

The initiative, which has garnered support from the Saint Lucia Hotel and Tourism Association (SLHTA) and the Saint Lucia Air and Sea Ports Authority (SLASPA) will be held on Wednesday, April 3, at the Castries Comprehensive Secondary School; and on Thursday, April 4, at the Vieux Fort Comprehensive Secondary School. Both sessions will start at 9 a.m. and end at 3 p.m.

The programme supports the school counsellors mandate as regards career preparation, as well

as their vision to provide equitable opportunity for students to become productive citizens and

lifelong learners. A total of 10 presenters from local, regional and international agencies, both

within and outside of the aviation industry will provide valuable information to students at the

event.

Two groups of secondary school students are expected to participate in the aviation symposiums, which will utilize a flight simulator to give them a chance to virtually fly an airplane. Schools in Districts I - IV will benefit from the symposium in the north of the island, while schools from Districts V - VII will benefit from the activity in the South.
