Buckeye Saint Lucia officially commissioned the Buckeye Beach Beautification Project in Cul de Sac, last week.

The project is open to the public and comprises a beach volleyball court, a small goals soccer pitch and a concrete cricket strip for sports enthusiasts. Picnic goers will enjoy eight outdoor concrete tables and seats along with two barbeque pits. The facility also includes washroom facilities, recycling bins and has been beautified with flowers

Buckeye Saint Lucia (purchased from Hess in December, 2013) is a valuable crude oil storage and transshipment facility located in the Southern Caribbean with close proximity to producing Latin American countries like Colombia and Brazil. Saint Lucia offers 9.3 million barrels of crude oil storage and an additional 1 million barrels of refined products storage.

Prime Minister Hon. Allen Chastanet, officials from the relevant government agencies, and a delegation from the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC), in the US, attended the commissioning of the Buckeye Beach Beautification Project. The project is part of Buckeye’s Corporate Social Responsibility program.
