THE MEETING FOCUSED ON EXPANDING TRADE RELATIONS.

The Mayor of Castries, His Worship Peterson D. Francis, last week hosted a trade mission from the Trinidad and Tobago Manufacturers' Association (TTMA).

The meeting focused on expanding trade relations between Trinidad and Tobago and Saint Lucia. It follows Mayor Francis’ visit to Trinidad and Tobago in May 2019 where he met with leading business people, members of the TTMA, and local mayors, in an effort to improve trade, business and cultural ties between the twin island republic and Saint Lucia.

“The more Castries engages with the world, the stronger our economy will be,” said Mayor Francis. “We have to create a culture where we as citizens build partnerships so the country can benefit. I am delighted that I was able to meet with key stakeholders and it led to this visiting trade mission. I am hopeful that ties will be strengthened with key trade and economic organizations, that investment opportunities will be explored and that business relations between both countries will be strengthened,” the Castries Mayor stated.
