Chamber of Commerce launches Global Entrepreneurship Week

THE OBSERVANCE WAS LAUNCHED UNDER THE THEME #GEWINCLUSION.

In commemoration of Global Entrepeneurship Week, the Saint Lucia Chamber of Commerce hosted the Saint Lucia Youth Business Trust GEW Business Mixer.

The mixer enabled approximately 20 youth participants to display their products and services. Prior to the mixer, GEW partnered with RBC Royal Bank to host the 4th Annual Entrepreneurs Speed Networking Forum. The forum brought together approximately 70 young entrepreneurs and startups who got an opportunity to engage experts and professionals in field such as banking, law, human resource and business registration.

Agnella Joseph, Executive Director of the Junior Achievement Program at the Saint Lucia Chamber of Commerce said: “Our young people are hungry for these activities they really look forward to coming in and building networks, while the professionals really want to help our young startups succeed.”

Shane Spencer, Founder and Chief Investment Strategist at Islandmint Trading and Investment, also stressed the importance of networking.

The Youth Business Mixer took place on Nov. 20, at the conference room of the Coco Palm Hotel.
