A Sitting of the House of Assembly is scheduled for Tuesday, March 10th, 2020 with Papers to be laid by the Honourable Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, Economic Growth, Job Creation, External Affairs and the Public Service, the Honourable Minister for Tourism, Information, Broadcasting, Culture and Creative Industries and the Honourable Minister for Commerce, Industry, Enterprise Development and Consumer Affairs.

The Motion for consideration is as follows:

BE IT RESOLVED that Parliament authorizes the Minister for finance to borrow the sum of US$20,000,000.00 from the Export-Import Bank of the Republic of China (Taiwan) for the purpose of financing the St. Jude Hospital (Phase 2) Construction Project;

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that - a) the loan is repayable in twenty years from the date of first disbursement of the loan inclusive of a five year grace period; b) the interest is payable at a rate of the six-month London Inter-Bank Offered Rate plus 1.5% per annum; c) the loan payments shall commence after the grace period of five years has expired; d) the principal on the outstanding amount shall be repaid in thirty consecutive equal or as nearly equal as possible semi-annual instalment; e) The terms and conditions proposed by the Export-Import Bank of the Republic of China (Taiwan) are accepted.
