GOVERNMENT INVESTS SIGNIFICANT FUNDS INTO THE RENOVATION OF THE NYERAH COURT.

The Government of Saint Lucia continues to make strides toward improving Saint Lucia’s judicial system.

The Minister for Home Affairs, Justice, and National Security, during a recent press briefing, indicated that the government had made a significant injection of funds into the renovation of the Nyerah Court. The aim, according to National Security Minister, Sen. Hon. Hermangild Francis, is to ensure that the court has been furnished with the necessities.

Arrangements are also being made to utilize the court at the Bordelais Correctional Facility in Dennery. Minister Francis said there are some issues to be ironed out in order for the court to be operational. The Bordelais Correctional Facility will be an addition to the Nyerah Court’s three chambers, the minister explained.

The Government of Saint Lucia remains committed to improving Saint Lucia’s judicial system.
