As part of continuing efforts to strengthen the local government system in Saint Lucia, the Ministry of Equity, Social Justice, Local Government and Empowerment is hosting a three-day retreat for local government Members of Parliament, mayors and chairmen.

The topics for discussion include how to engage central government focusing on purpose and strategies; exploring inter-municipality collaborative initiatives; problem solving; and preliminary planning approaches for execution.

This, the fourth and final phase of the local reform retreat will be held at the Bay Gardens Hotel, from Aug. 6 – 8, at 9 a.m.
