Meeting of Regional Network of Francophonie Institutions

THE THREE FRANCOPHONIE MEMBER STATES IN THE CARIBBEAN REGION, DOMINICA, HAITI, AND SAINT LUCIA, MEET.

The annual meeting of the Caribbean Network of Francophonie Institutions (RESICAF), is currently underway in Saint Lucia.

The three-day meeting brings together representatives of the three Francophonie member states in the Caribbean region (Dominica, Haiti, and Saint Lucia) to discuss matters of mutual interest and cooperation between member states and the International Organization for the Francophonie (OIF).

The objective of the meeting is to discuss the integration of national and regional priorities into the organization’s development strategy and programme for 2019 – 2022. The meeting will also introduce members of the network and representatives of member states to the main axis of the OIF’s gender strategy and how it will be operationalized within the 2019 – 2022 programme.

Within the framework of this regional meeting, Mr. Emmanuel Adjovani, Director of the International Organization of the Francophonie (OIF) for the Caribbean and Latin America (BRECAL), will be conducting an inaugural visit to Saint Lucia. Mr. Adjovani’s visit will provide an opportunity to meet with local authorities, stakeholders and other partners on the work of the Francophonie in Saint Lucia.

The Office of the National Correspondent for the Francophonie extends an invitation to media houses to provide coverage of the Gender Strategy meeting on April 25 at 9 a.m., at the Auberge Seraphine Hotel.

The annual meeting of the Caribbean Network of Francophonie Institutions is being held from April 23 – 25.
