THE PROJECT SCOPE INCLUDES ROAD WIDENING AND THE CONSTRUCTION OF DRAINAGE AND RETAINING WALLS.

The rehabilitation of the Morne Du Don to Balata roads is underway.

The Morne Du Don - Balata Road Reconstruction Project is a priority given the high influx of new vehicles into Saint Lucia. These popular backroads serve as an important alternative to the busy city commute and traffic congestion.

The project scope includes road widening and realignment, the complete reconstruction of approximately 2349 meters of road, and the construction of drainage and retaining walls.

Minister for Infrastructure, Hon. Stephenson King, said: “I am extremely happy about this project. It brings an end to years of talk about upgrading the northern backroads.”

The project will create an estimated 70 full-time jobs throughout its duration.

Drivers are encouraged to pay attention to the signs and proceed with caution when traversing the project site.
