NALIP, Central Library to host writing workshop

THE MAY 3 WORKSHOP WILL COVER TOPICS SUCH AS ‘THE ART OF JOURNALISM’ AND ‘THE BASIC PRINCIPLES OF PUBLISHING.’

In observation of World Press Freedom Day and Reading Month, the National Association of Librarians and Information Professionals (NALIP), in collaboration with the public library will be hosting a Writing and Publishing Workshop on May 3, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

This workshop encapsulates the basic fundamentals of Writing and Publishing and will be facilitated by locally-renowned writers, journalists, authors, poets and publishers. Topics include, but are not limited to “General Principles of Writing,” The Art of Journalism, and “The Basic Principles of Publishing,” to name a few.

The group earmarked to participate in this activity includes writers of short stories, students of English Language, Literature and Communication Studies, budding novelists, poets, playwrights, and persons pursuing careers in journalism, writing, and publishing, both seasoned and novices.
