NTN continues "COVID-19: Roadmap to Recovery" series

THE PANEL DISCUSSION SERIES ADDRESSES TOPICS ESSENTIAL TO NATIONAL PROGRESS.

The National Television Network continues to keep the public informed on national issues, and provide opportunities for engagement with key government officials and partners.

The NTN series “COVID-19: Roadmap to Recovery” continues this Sunday, June 7 at 7 p.m., with a focus on investment and business opportunities. The discussion will help chart the way toward sustainable socio-economic development, as panelists analyse investment opportunities around the island and the synergies that exist between government agencies and business organisations.

The discussion will be moderated by GIS News Director Ms. Lissa Joseph, with guest panellists Roderick Cherry, CEO of Invest Saint Lucia; Margeurite Desir, President of the Saint Lucia Manufacturers Association; Sabina Valmont, Founding President of the Southern Business Association; and Barbara Innocent Charles, Director of the Small Business Development Centre.

Principal Information Officer of the Government Information Service, Ms. Davina Lee, explained that the NTN series has already touched on a variety of areas of concern to the public.

“The panels are informative and provide fact-based assessments and solutions to the various challenges confronting our nation at this time. In previous panels we touched on the digital economy, economic recovery efforts, health and government’s overall response to COVID-19, and the travel and tourism sector.

“In upcoming panels, we will discuss the agriculture and manufacturing sectors, as we recognise the need for continuous broad-based discussions on the way forward for our country.”
