THE REBRANDING OF VBSS PAID HOMAGE TO THE SCHOOL’S FIRST PRINCIPAL.

The Vide Bouteille Secondary School has been renamed the Patricia D. James Secondary School, to pay homage to the first principal of the school.

The rebranding of the school was done in commemoration of its 30th anniversary.

Former Principal, Patricia D. James, encouraged the students to have school pride.

“You have a big responsibility to show respect for your school by the way you behave, wherever and whenever you wear this uniform,” she said. “Respect your parents, your teachers, and yourselves.”

District II Education Officer, Martha Foster, expressed gratitude to Ms. James for allowing the school to be renamed in her honor.

“As the students and staff repeat the school’s new name, engraved in their minds will be the values she represented,” Ms. Foster said.

Parliamentary Representative for Castries North, Hon. Stephenson King, said the standards set by Patricia D James have bred successful young women and men.

“I saw among them policemen, teachers, public officers, and other individuals in our community, who are making their contribution to our society,” he said.

The ceremony for the rebranding of the school was held on Sep. 2.
