THE PUBLIC IS ENCOURAGED TO CONTINUE TO MAINTAIN PROTOCOLS.

The Ministry of Health continues to increase the number of tests for COVID-19 conducted in the community. Thus far more than 700 tests have been conducted.

This comes as the island registered a 100 percent recovery rate for the second time.

The Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Sharon Belmar George, is encouraging the public to continue to maintain protocols even when in the familiar surroundings of their communities.

Meanwhile, the Government of Saint Lucia is continuing its strategic approach to Saint Lucia’s COVID-19 response which has led to the island’s keen management of the crisis and the recovery of all 18 confirmed cases.

Plans are currently being shared for the measured and phased approach to reopening Saint Lucia’s society. The framework for reopening was discussed at a national consultation on May 15.
