Small group from the Cuban medical brigade leaves Saint Lucia

THIRTY CUBAN HEALTHCARE WORKERS DEPARTED FOR CUBA AFTER COMPLETING THEIR MEDICAL MISSION.

The Republic of Cuba continues to extend its solidarity aid to several nations affected by COVID-19. On March 27, 2020 a team of one hundred and thirteen (113) Cubans comprising of nurses, doctors and biomedical engineers arrived in Saint Lucia to assist in the efforts to combat the global pandemic of COVID-19. The Cuban medical brigade has been deployed at various health institutions around the island providing medical assistance and service. On Friday, July 10, 2020 a total of thirty (30) Cuban healthcare workers departed Saint Lucia for Cuba after completing their medical mission. To date, there are 83 Cuban healthcare workers remaining on island to continue assisting in the fight against COVID-19.
