Taiwan to host Vocational Training Project

SIX CANDIDATES FROM SAINT LUCIA HAVE BEEN SELECTED TO PARTICIPATE.

The Department of External Affairs in collaboration with the Government of the Republic of China (Taiwan) will host a briefing ceremony on the 2018 Vocational Training Project.

The Vocational Training Project for the Caribbean will be held in Taiwan from Nov. 12 to Jan 22. Six candidates from Saint Lucia have been selected to participate. The participants are expected to depart Saint Lucia on Friday, Nov. 9.

The programme is funded by the Taiwan International Cooperation and Development Fund (Taiwan ICDF), and is designed to offer training courses in hospitality services. In addition, the programme will foster and equip the participants with advanced professional skills to further develop and strengthen the human resource, vocational training system in Saint Lucia.

The briefing ceremony will be held on Thursday, Aug. 8, from 10:30 to 11 a.m. at the Department of External Affairs, level five, BayWalk Mall, Rodney Bay, Gros Islet.
