SCATTERED SHOWERS, ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS EXPECTED OVER THE NEXT 24 HOURS.

Forecast for Saint Lucia valid for the next 24 hours: Winds will be blowing from between the east-northeast and east-southeast near 12 mph or 19 km/h, with gusts near showers. Weather: Generally cloudy skies with a few periods of rain, scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms. Residents and motorists in areas prone to flooding and landslides are advised to be vigilant and exercise caution.

Marine forecast for seas in a 25 mile or 40 km radius from Saint Lucia: Tides for Castries Harbour: High at 6:27 am...Low at 11:23 am. Tides for Vieux Fort Bay:   High at 7:34 am...Low at 12:50 pm. Seas: Slight with waves 2 to 4 feet or 0.6 to 1.2 metres.

Forecast for the Lesser Antilles: Cloudy skies with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms.

Tropical weather outlook: An upper level trough system will continue to cause cloudiness, periods of rain, scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms over our region during the next 24 hours. A tropical wave located over the Western Tropical Atlantic is moving westward near 15 mph or 24 km/h. This system is expected to affect our region late on Wednesday into Thursday.
