THE OBSERVANCE WAS INITIATED IN 2007, AND THE TRADITION CONTINUES TO GAIN MOMENTUM, WORLDWIDE.

The Saint Lucia National Youth Council in collaboration with Volunteer Saint Lucia, is working towards the implementation of a national campaign for Good Deeds Day.

Good Deeds Day is a global day that unites people from 100 countries, encouraging them to do good deeds for the benefit of others and the planet. It will be celebrated worldwide on April 7.

Good Deeds Day was initiated in 2007, and the tradition continues to gain momentum. All over the world, hundreds of thousands choose to volunteer and help others, putting into practice the simple idea that every single person can do something good, be it large or small, to improve the lives of others and positively change the world.

The initiative held its largest day yet on April 15, 2018, when 3,500,000 participants from 100 countries took part in Good Deeds Day, totaling over 7 million hours of service.

Good Deeds Day forms part of the 2019 year-long observance of Saint Lucia’s 40th anniversary of Independence.
