ONE MEDIA PERSON WILL BE CHOSEN TO BE PART OF A TEAM TO COVER PRE-DEPARTURE ACTIVITIES IN LAS PALMAS.

The Atlantic Rally for Cruisers (ARC), the world’s largest trans-ocean sailing event, has been making landfall in Saint Lucia since 1990, making 2019 the 30th consecutive year that this famous event will arrive in Rodney Bay. The year 2019 also coincides with Saint Lucia’s 40th Anniversary of Independence.

Following from the support provided since ARC 2014, ARC will offer assistance for one accredited media person to be a part of the team of international journalists that cover the pre-departure activities and the start of ARC 2019 in the port of Las Palmas in the Canary Islands, Spain, this coming November.

To encourage a broad and transparent application process for this assisted place, the organizers of the ARC, World Cruising Club, are reaching out to all esteemed media colleagues in Saint Lucia. Applicants from the media worlds of print, online, radio, television and or other formats will all be considered for suitability.

Interested persons can access the information sheet and application form here. The form needs to be completed and returned by March 15. All completed applications will be considered by a panel including World Cruising Club and the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority during early April, with a decision expected by the end of the month.
