VACANCY NOTICE
POST: Financial Controller
Applications are invited to fill the above-named position at WASCO.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
The incumbent will possess:
ACCA/CGA /CPA/CA or equivalent with five (5) years relevant work experience in the accounting field OR a Master’s Degree in Finance or Accounting plus eight (8) years of progressive experience in a senior financial position.
Main Responsibilities:
• Leading and managing the human resources of the accounting and finance department.
• Managing the operations of the department including setting its goals and objectives and designing and implementing a framework for them to be met.
• Establishing and maintaining a documented system of accounting policies and procedures for the company.
• Managing strategic projects and developing and maintaining strong working relationships with key stakeholders.
• Conducting financial analyses and modeling to advise management decisions.
• Preparing and presenting financial reports to the senior management and to the Board of Directors at formal meetings.
• Discharging overall responsibility for the preparation and presentation of financial budgets and business plans, and administering their provisions responsibly.
• Preparing and reviewing monthly business performance reports and presenting 12-month rolling forecasts with sensitivity analyses.
• Developing and refining management accounts and reports, including relevant metrics/KPIs and enhanced business analyses.
• Engaging in continual cost reduction analyses and measures in all areas of the Company.
• Overseeing all annual tax processes and obligations.
• Ensuring adherence to good governance policies, procedures and practices in all aspects of the accounting and finance functions.
Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience.
