ACP STATES DISCUSS HOW TO BETTER MERGE CULTURE AND TOURISM.

The Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism, Information and Broadcasting, Culture and Creative Industries, Donalyn Vittet attended the fifth meeting of ACP Ministers of Culture where she had the opportunity to learn of the association’s best practices.

The aim, she said, was to cement policy decisions and better merge Culture and Tourism.

The meeting also assessed the implementation of the commitments made by ACP ministers in Brussels, in 2017, to reach a strong ACP group position on culture's contribution to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Saint Lucia’s cultural policy was first drafted in 2005 and since then efforts have been made to develop and strengthen the framework.

The fifth meeting of ACP Ministers of Culture was held from October 17 to 20, 2019 in Niger.
