A CONSULTATION IS SCHEDULED FOR THURSDAY, JULY 9.

Subsequent to the Saint Lucia Cannabis Commission’s presentation to the Cabinet of Ministers on June 15, a key decision taken was to engage in further consultation with key stakeholders and the general public, to ensure a more diverse and informed position be formulated ahead of a final decision on cannabis reform.

To date, the Commission has held four virtual consultations themed “Cannabis Reform: A Balanced Perspective” via zoom with the following key stakeholder groups:

Faith Based Organisations/Religious Groups

The National Youth Council and its affiliates

Professional/Civic organizations and NGO’s

Government departments/agencies and other statutory bodies

The presentations have been hosted and delivered in part by Mr. Michael Gordon QC (Chairman of the Commission), Dr. Stephen King (Health Consultant) and Dr. Gilbertha St. Rose (Subject Matter Expert) and have been quite informative and engaging.

A national consultation is further scheduled for Thursday July 9th, 2020 at 10 a.m. and will be simulcast on NTN (FLOW TV channel 122) and Facebook live via the Government of Saint Lucia’s official page.

The Saint Lucia Cannabis Commission therefore invites the general public to tune in on the date and time above live via facebook or NTN.
