SMALL BUSINESSES ARE NOW EQUIPPED FOR BIG GAINS FOLLOWING A BUSINESS PLAN DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP.

The Department of Commerce collaborated with the Savings Bank Foundation for International Cooperation (SBFIC) to host a Business Plan Development Workshop for entrepreneurs.

The workshop was held with the view of enhancing entrepreneurial skills of the attendees.

On Tuesday, Oct. 8, a closing ceremony was held to present participants with certificates of completion and accomplishments.

SEDU Director, Barbara Innocent-Charles said: “I observed amongst you some business owners that I had dealt with in other workshops in the past. It showed that here was a group of people that we have interacted with years before and their businesses are still thriving, still making lots of progress, but here they are again to take their business to another level and recognizing that through this business plan workshop that they can.”

SEDU and SBFIC throughout the lifespan of the program has assisted some 75 business owners with developing a business plan.

The workshop, which commenced on July 10, and culminated on Aug. 7, accommodated approximately 22 existing and potential MSMEs within various business sectors.
