The Commission aims to improve energy use and demonstrate the sustainable use of energy, in the hope that the initiative can be replicated in other organizations within the OECS.

The OECS Commission will launch the Building Energy Efficiency Project (BEEP) today.

The objective of the project is to improve the utilization of energy in the OECS Commission and to show leadership in the sustainable use of energy.

The OECS BEEP project also intends to promote the importance and feasibility of implementing an energy management program in institutions and businesses, and the realization of long term savings through the effective application of energy management in business operations. It is the hoped that such an initiative can be replicated in other regional and public buildings within the OECS.

The OECS-BEEP project launch will be held at the  Palm Haven Hotel.
