THE PROJECT WILL HELP IMPROVE SOIL HEALTH CONDITIONS, AND CONSEQUENTLY BOOST AGRICULTURE PRODUCTION EFFORTS.

Principal officers, implementing a soil fertility project in Saint Lucia, met last week to revise the ongoing project.

The delegation comprised the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morrocco to Saint Lucia, His Excellency Abderrahim Kadmiri, and the technical team from the Department of Agriculture headed by the Hon. Minister, Ezechiel Joseph.

The team met to review the plan of action for the completion phase of the Morroccan Soil Fertility Project, that carries the expectation of improving soil health conditions and boosting agriculture production efforts in Saint Lucia.

Minister for Agriculture, Hon. Ezechiel Joseph, said that by fine tuning the ongoing work under the soil fertility project, Saint Lucia makes the most use of technology transfer and the application techniques that will ultimately impact the overall performance of the agriculture economy.

The Morrocan Soil Fertility Project was extended for another year, with an end date of March 2021.
