There is only one week left for voting to propel Saint Lucia as a top destination in four categories in the World Travel Awards (WTA) Caribbean Travel Awards for 2019.

Industry partners and the public are invited to vote and encourage friends and family members to do the same from now until Thursday, Jan. 10, 2019.

In the 26th annual World Travel Awards (WTA), the destination will vie for the titles of: Caribbean's Leading Cruise Destination 2019; Caribbean's Leading Destination 2019; Caribbean's Leading Honeymoon Destination 2019; and Caribbean's Leading Luxury Island Destination 2019.

Various leading Saint Lucian hotels and resorts and one destination management company (DMC) are also nominated for awards in the following categories:

Saint Lucia has won the World's Leading Honeymoon Destination Award 10 times, with the most recent honour coming in 2018. The destination has also won the Caribbean's Leading Honeymoon Destination Award, nine times in the last 10 years.

The island is also making a strong bid for the Caribbean's Leading Cruise Destination 2019 award with the extension of Berth No. 1 at Pointe Seraphine to accommodate Vista, Freedom and Quantum Class vessels at Port Castries.

The WTA is recognised globally as the pinnacle of excellence in the travel and tourism industry and the winners represent the very best in their respective tourism focusses.
