The information gathered at the meeting will be collated and analyzed to support sustainable development efforts at all levels across the Caribbean and Latin American regions.

Representatives of Small Island Developing States (SIDS) gathered in Saint Lucia last week to discuss problems facing the world grouping, and to seek solutions to sustainable development challenges.

The meeting was also called to gather information on the existing initiatives that SIDS have implemented, in order to better understand the challenges and barriers of the science-policy interface, and to solicit solutions.

Organizers of the meeting said the information gathered will be collated and analyzed to build and support sustainable development efforts at all levels across the Caribbean and Latin American regions.

The SIDS Conference was held at the Bay Gardens Hotel, Rodney Bay.
