THE TRAINING PROGRAM AIMED TO ENHANCE THE CAPACITY OF STAFF.

Fifty-five staff members of the Saint Jude’s Hospital have officially graduated from a training program.

The program was facilitated by the National Enrichment and Learning Unit (NELU) and provided training in customer service, food preparation, basic electronic installation and security patrol operations.

NELU Education Officer, Dr. Cynthia Polius-Prescott, noted that the training is in keeping with NELU’s mandate to foster and strengthen intersectorial collaboration and integration.

“We believe that the training responded to the existing and emerging needs of the establishment, and the changingin dynamics of your workplace,” said Mrs. Prescott.

Chairman of the St. Jude hospital Board, Wayne Harrow noted that this is one of the many initiatives being undertaken to enhance the capacity of the staff.

The graduation ceremony was held under the theme “Step into Your Greatness with a Brand New Attitude,” and took place on Aug. 26.
