Taiwanese investors visit

THE DELEGATION WAS KEENLY INTERESTED IN TECHNICAL SERVICES, INVESTMENT CONSTRUCTION, ICT, ACCOMMODATION SERVICES AND FISHING SUPPLIES.

The Department of Commerce, in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan), recently hosted a consultative forum with potential investors and investees in Saint Lucia.

The contingent of seven individuals sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of China (Taiwan), embarked on an official visit to Saint Lucia from Oct. 25 to 27. The delegation is desirous of exploring business opportunities in Saint Lucia.

William Psu, the Assistant Director General for supervising trade, investment, technical assistance and financial cooperation said: “We trying to achieve the goal of sustainable development, and, as you know, Taiwan is very strong in small and medium enterprise businesses.”

The Taiwan delegation is keenly interested in technical services, investment construction, ict, accommodation services and fishing supplies.

Aretha Regis, the Invesment Co-ordination Officer in the Department of Commerce, said the consultative forum was held in two sessions, that facilitated networking and information exchange.

The consultative forum took place at the Bay Gardens Inn.
