PROJECTS INCLUDE THE 800-ROOM HYATT AT CHOC, AND THE MARIOTT COURTYARD AT POINTE SERAPHINE.

In the 2018 “Country Economic Review”, the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) indicated that tourism activities in Saint Lucia are projected to expand, while agriculture output will remain buoyant.

Prime Minister, the Hon. Allen Chastanet, highlighted some of the planned projects, one of which includes an initiative geared at enhancing the capacity of public and private sector workers to facilitate the strategic implementation of projects.

A number of training workshops have been held in that regard and a delivery unit is soon to be established within the Office of the Prime Minister. Prime Minister Chastanet said that many of the projects are expected to commence in 2019.

Tourism-related projects include the 800-room Hyatt to be constructed at Choc, the Mariott Courtyard at Pointe Seraphine, and the 300-room Honeymoon Beach Project.
