VACANCY

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the following positions:

JOB TITLE: Analyst/Programmer

Purpose

• To develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the business requirements as it pertains to the Financial Information Management System (FMIS) of the Government of St. Lucia.

• To monitor and enforce security and protection of the FMIS systems

• To analyse client requirements and provide analysis, design, development, testing and documentation services in order to develop new supporting applications to the FMIS

• To maintain existing supporting applications to the FMIS

• To develop and maintain standard and ad hoc reports based on FMIS data

• To assist the Information Technology Manager in all aspects of the computing environment.

Location

• Castries, Saint Lucia

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• A minimum of a Bachelor of Science Degree in a computer related discipline.

• At least two (2) years experience in the computing environment.

• Competence in the Transact-SQL Query Language.

• Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (STS)

• Ability to program in Micorsoft Access.

• Knowledge of accounting practices and procedures would be an asset

• Knowledge of the SmartStream suite of programs would be an asset

• Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to appreciate and effectively address the needs of users.
