Advertisement for Field Officer

The Youth Economy Agency (YEA) is seeking a Field Officer to provide exceptional customer service by visiting and inspecting the business sites of all clients who request financing from the Youth Economy Agency.  The incumbent will assist in mitigating risk by evaluating the business performance of clients of the Youth Economy Agency. 

The deadline for submission is Friday 25^th August, 2023 at 4:30 pm.

KEY FUNCTIONS

1. Inspect sites of businesses of YEA clients to determine the appropriateness of sites for business operations;
2. Monitor and measure client successes, and, where necessary, recommend further courses of action;
3. Handle customer appeals and inquiries or refer unresolved appeals and inquiries to the Project Officer responsible for Business Development;
4. Identify and recommend improvements in the YEA’s process to meet the needs of all clients;
5. Supervise and monitor the use of YEA funds;
6. Perform the functions assigned to him/her by the Project Officer – Business Development and other duly authorised Officers of the YEA.

APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS

• High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis and/or reasoning;

• An Associates Degree, Cape Certificate or substantial qualification in fields related to Business Management, Finance or a similar field;
• Strong interpersonal and organisational skills;
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbally);
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills;
• Strong attention to detail;
• Able to work efficiently as part of team, as well as, independently;
• Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality; and
• Able to work well under pressure and meet set deadlines.
