Saint Lucian Students to Gain On-the-Job Experience Through Government Summer Employment Programme
May 07, 2025-The Government of Saint Lucia’s Annual Summer Employment Programme is set to begin on July 1, 2025. This initiative offers students one month of practical, on-the-job experience by placing them in various line agencies across the Public Service. Eligible participants include university, tertiary-level, and Form Five secondary school students.
To better accommodate participants, students will be divided into two groups:
- One group will be employed in July
- The second group will be employed in August
The primary objective of the programme is to help students develop valuable workplace skills and competencies. All participants will receive a stipend for their services during the employment period.
The Department of the Public Service invites interested and eligible students to submit a completed application form, along with the following documents:
- A copy of their school identification card
- A copy of their National Identification card
