The Human Resource Unit of the OECS Commission invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the internship role within the Human Resources Unit.
More specifically, the Human Resource Intern will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Maintaining the Human Resource Information System (HRIS).
- Managing all HR data (physical and electronic), ensuring accuracy of data and compliance with internal and legislative requirements.
- Ensuring all employee changes are promptly captured in the HRIS
- Ensuring efficient records management in line with the organisation’s Information Management Policy and unit’s requirements, including relevant confidential records.
- Applying project management skills to efficiently manage multiple events.
- Maintaining efficient service delivery ensuring HR requests are managed within agreed timelines and expected quality.
- Undertaking any other duties as assigned by the Head of Human Resources.
Experience and Knowledge:
- An Associate Degree or other certification in Human Resources from a recognised institution
- At least one to two years (1-2) years proven human resource administrative experience in a similar environment
- Solid knowledge of office operations and use of office software (MS word/excel) and Human Resource Information System (HRIS).
- Basic Project Management Skills
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and a keen sense of accuracy
- Excellent ability to follow instructions and manage time effectively
- Ability to work under minimum supervision

Job Location:
The OECS Commission is headquartered in Castries, Saint Lucia. The position of Human Resource Intern will be stationed at the headquarters, for a period of three (3) months.
