VACANCY- Customer Service Representative

 

The National Insurance Corporation is seeking to fill the position of Customer Service Representative to complement its Customer Service team at its Head Office in Castries.

 

Summary of Duties:

 

The Customer Service Representative will be responsible for providing customers with information about the Corporation’s products and services, processing registration and reviewing and evaluating information to determine eligibility for the benefits the NIC administers.

 

The successful candidate will be required inter alia to perform the following duties:

 

  • Interacting with customers to provide support and information on products and services.
  • Processing registration of employees, employers, self-employed and voluntary contributors. 
  • Ensuring that all required documents are submitted and completed accurately.
  • Entering information and updating records on the computer system.
  • Conducting interviews to obtain, clarify and verify information for eligibility for various benefits.
  • Reviewing benefit claims for accuracy and completeness
  • Issuing relevant letters and statements to customers.
  • Ensuring that appropriate actions are taken to resolve customer problems and concerns.
  • Providing prompt and efficient service to customers.

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • An Associate Degree in Business Administration or equivalent. 
  •  Specialized training in customer relations.
  •  At least two (2) years’ relevant work experience.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: -

 

  • Must be able to make customers feel comfortable when listening to their complaints. 
  • Strong Interpersonal and customer service skills. 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to conduct effective interviews with customers. 
  • Knowledge of the NIC products and services.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and computing skills. 
  • Ability to work individually and as a team member.
  • Must be self-motivated, dynamic, and creative. 
  • Effective decision making and problem-solving skills. 
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
