Two years ago, November 10th Saint Lucia recorded the worst human tragedy in Morne Sion in the community of Choiseul, claiming the lives of 19 individuals.
Prime Minister Honourable Dr. Kenny D. Anthony speaking on the anniversary of that tragic day says this is one the tragedies Saint Lucians will never forget.
“No words can ever be enough to comfort the relatives and friends of those who lost their lives. The anniversary of this terrible tragedy is bound to bring renewed pain and grief to the families and friends of those who died. I urge all Saint Lucians who may not have done so yesterday Sunday to spare a moment for the families, offer words of prayer for the souls of those who died and if close to members of the family offer words of solace and comfort."
Dr. Anthony says the event calls for Saint Lucians to mourn together as a nation.
He outlines plans for the monument to be erected in honour of the victims.Prime Minister Honourable Dr. Kenny D. Anthony speaking on the anniversary of that tragic day says this is one the tragedies Saint Lucians will never forget.
