THE AMBASSADOR DISCUSSED SEVERAL INITIATIVES INCLUDING SPECIALIZED TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES.
Ambassador-Designate of the Republic of China (Taiwan) to Saint Lucia, Ms. Nicole Su, paid a courtesy call on the Minister for Home Affairs, Crime Prevention and Persons with Disabilities, the Honourable Jerimiah Norbert, and the Permanent Secretary Dr. Elizabeth Bailey, on Friday, January 24.
Their discussions focused on cementing the continuation of the cordial relations established by her predecessor Mr. Peter Chen. Capacity building and specialized training opportunities were key among the initiatives discussed with the incoming Ambassador.
Minister Norbert reflected on his visit to Taiwan in 2024, where he was able to
familiarize himself with the country’s exemplary model of service delivery and
support for citizens with disabilities. The Minister indicated his desire to explore technical cooperation that can lead to meaningful support for the development of Saint Lucia’s disabilities sector.
Minister Jerimiah Norbert and the permanent secretary Elizabeth Bailey concluded their fruitful discussions by expressing best wishes to Ambassador-Designate Nicole Su for a successful tenure in Saint Lucia.
