THE 53RD ANNUAL MEETING OF THE BOARD OF GOVERNORS OF THE CARIBBEAN DEVELOPMENT BANK (CDB) IS BEING HOSTED IN SAINT LUCIA UNDER THE CHAIRMANSHIP OF THE HONOURABLE PHILIP J. PIERRE

The 53rd Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) is being hosted in Saint Lucia under the Chairmanship of the Honourable Philip J. Pierre, Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Economic Development, and the Youth Economy. This annual meeting apart from its meeting with the governors includes a series of activities that target: women, youth, the private sector, the indigenous community, and other development partners. The theme of this year’s Meeting is Marshalling Finance for Development: Access to Adequate and Affordable Financing.

Of the complementary events, the Annual Meeting, will be preceded by a sequence of Youth engagement activities namely the Youth Fire Dialogue and Showcase, the launch of CDB’s Future Leaders Network and the Youth Fire Expo scheduled for June 13-16, 2023. The Youth FIRE Expo is a collaborative endeavour between the CDB, Department of Education, Innovation and Vocational Training and the Youth Economy Agency. 

On June 16, 2023, the Youth Fire EXPO will be held at the Constitution Park from 9am-5pm.  This EXPO is an opportunity for participants to meet officials from the CDB and to view the creativity and innovation of Saint Lucian youth and the young at heart including innovator Karlis Noel and pioneers in multimedia, agro possessing and fashion.  Your bureau is cordially invited to view the Youth Fire EXPO. This will be an opportunity to witness the work of our youth from different industries all around Saint Lucia.
