The Department of Infrastructure, Ports and Transport wishes to inform the public that the Etangs Deville to Fond Gens Libre Road is closed until further notice.

A blocked culvert resulted in the collapse of one section of the roadway in July, and the condition has worsened due to the persistent rainfall experienced over the past few months.

The road has therefore been closed in an effort to protect the public.

Designs for the reconstruction of the collapsed section have already been approved and the Department of Infrastructure, Ports and Transport will advise when the works have commenced.
