Credit union provides scholarships

The Saint Lucia Civil Service Cooperative Credit Union adds 20 five-year scholarships for members’ top performing students to its current list of 60.

The Saint Lucia Civil Service Cooperative Credit Union has made available 20 scholarships for the highest performing secondary school children of its members. The students who were awarded performed well above average at the 2015 Common Entrance examinations, earning grades in the upper 90s.

Every year, the credit union sets aside over $110,000 for its Education and Scholarship Assistance Program that provides cash awards to top achieving students.

The scholarships will cover the cost of attending secondary school for five years, and also provides for a transport allowance.

Scholarships are also available for students planning to attend the Sir Arthur Lewis Community College for the 2016-2017 academic year. Interested members may apply early through application forms available at the offices of the Saint Lucia Civil Service Cooperative Credit Union.
