Donna Vitalis Receives The “Honourable Dr. Kenny D. Anthony Award Of Excellence”

Donna Vitalis, top achiever at the Plain View Combined School at the 2013 Common Entrance Examination is the recipient of the “Honourable Dr. Kenny D. Anthony Award of Excellence”.

As part of his contribution to the graduation ceremony of the Plain View Combined School, Prime Minister Anthony pledged an Award of Excellence, which includes a trophy and a monetary prize of $500.00, to the top performer at the Common Entrance Exam.

She joined her classmates at graduation on July 10th , 2013 under the theme “Soaring To New Heights”.

The Guest Speaker Rhyesa Joseph who was the school's top achiever at the 2005 Common Entrance Examination and a current employee of the Government Information Service GIS encouraged the graduates to continue working hard and give their best at all times.

“As you move to this next stage in your education do not be complacent ,always give your best, work hard and continue to strive for excellence. A Secondary School education is only one part of your journey; the competitive world we live in with the growth in availability of information requires that you go beyond. Already the basic requirement for many careers is no CXC`s but a first degree and so students the best gift you can give to yourself is to do your best and always crave for knowledge; pray for wisdom and be determined to serve.”

Donna Vitalis topped the Plain View Combined school with a score of 95.67% and placed 8th on the island and is assigned to the Vieux-Fort Comprehensive Secondary School.

She achieved 99% in Mathematics, 92% in Language and 96% in General Paper.

As with the Award at the CSEC level, the Prime Minister has pledged to continue the award in the years ahead.
