THE FIA ADVISES PERSONS TO EXERCISE CAUTION BEFORE ENGAGING IN UNREGULATED OR UNAUTHORIZED INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES.

The FIA has charged Ms SOPHIA PELAGE-DAVID of Babonneau with two (2) counts of money laundering.

Ms Pelage-David was arrested by officers of the FIA on Monday, 2nd November, 2026, for money laundering, contrary to Section 28(1)(b) of the Money Laundering (Prevention) Act, Cap. 12.20 of the Revised Laws of Saint Lucia 2023.

It is alleged that between 23rd January, 2024 and 4th July, 2025, Ms Pelage-David engaged in financial transactions to the sum of Eastern Caribbean Five Hundred and Twenty-Four Thousand, Eight Hundred and One Dollars and Thirty Cents. (EC$524,801.30) which is believed to be the proceeds of criminal conduct.

Creators Alliance, identified as being a pyramid-style investment opportunity, operated both locally and regionally from around June of 2024. In March 2025, the scheme collapsed abruptly, resulting in millions of dollars in financial losses to thousands of investors in Saint Lucia and across the Caribbean.

Investigations by the FIA into money laundering activity associated with the scheme remain ongoing, culminating in the arrest and charge of Ms Pelage-David, following the arrest and charge of Electra Ferdinand for the same offence in September of 2026.

Ms Pelage-David was taken before the First District Court on Tuesday, 3rd November, 2026 where she was granted bail in the sum of Thirteen Thousand Dollars ($13,000.00) cash or suitable surety. The matter was adjourned to the 10th December, 2026 for her next court appearance.

The offence of money laundering carries maximum penalties of up to one million dollars ($1,000,000.000) in fines and/or imprisonment for up to fifteen (15) years.

The FIA advises persons to exercise caution before engaging in unregulated or unauthorized investment opportunities and to seek independent professional advice to verify the legitimacy of these schemes.
