Government intensifies efforts to strengthen public health infrastructure

THE GOVERNMENT HAS ALLOCATED MILLIONS TO CREATE MORE BED SPACE AT THE OWEN KING HOSPITAL.
 Keeping healthcare costs down and expanding access to essential medical services remains a priority for Prime Minister Hon. Philip J. Pierre and the Government of Saint Lucia.
To improve operational efficiency and alleviate pressure on the country's medical institutions, the government has allocated millions of dollars to create more bed space at the Owen King EU Hospital by constructing a fifth wing; completing the construction of the new St. Jude Hospital; and establishing an urgent care facility at the Dr Betty Wells Urban Polyclinic.
