Graduating students are encouraged to reflect positive behaviors.
Minister for Education, Innovation, Gender Relations and Sustainable Development, Hon. Dr. Gale Rigobert, recently advised primary school leavers in the Micoud North constituency to take pride in their school and display positive behavior during their learning experience.
“What is unfortunately very rare is discipline—what we call good manners, respect, understanding protocol, context, appreciation, and showing compassion," she said to the Micoud Primary School "to take full advantage of the learning environment I don’t know that these things are explicitly spelled out in a formal curriculum, but I trust that inadvertently these young graduates would have benefitted from that learning experience of good manners, respect, appreciation, and gratitude,” she said.
The minister also called on graduates of the Mon Repos Combined School to embrace the new chapter of their lives and to overcome challenges.
“Your foundational years were here. No matter how far you go, no matter what you achieve tomorrow, all of that will be possible because of the solid, rich, holistic foundation you had laid for you at the Mon Repos Combined.”
The graduates were challenged to thrive for success and to give back to the school and community.
