THE PROGRAM WILL REGULARLY UPDATE THE PUBLIC ON THE ST. JUDE HOSPITAL RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT.

Two weeks after the recommencement of construction work at the St. Jude Hospital, the Ministry of Health, Wellness and Elderly Affairs launched "Progress Report".

The aim of the program is for members of the public to be reliably and regularly informed on the state of works at the St Jude Reconstruction Site project.

The program will air via the St Jude Reconstruction Project social media pages and will also be disseminated via the Government Information Service and private media entities.

Jade Brown, Communications Officer for the St. Jude Reconstruction Project, said: “Work on the St. Jude Hospital is progressing at staggering rate. What this program (Progress Report) will do is shed light on the project from the various perspectives of key stakeholders. The goal is to leave no stone unturned as we strive to ensure a transparency. The goal is also to tell the story of St. Jude Project from the perspective of all involved in, and impacted by the project. Essentially, we want to ensure the people of Saint Lucia, the most important stakeholders, those who need to access vital care are kept informed of the progress and also we want to ensure your questions are answered in a timely fashion.”

Progress Report will be produced exclusively by the Ministry of Health. It is one component of an extensive communications plan being rolled out by the Government of Saint Lucia as it pertains to the St. Jude Hospital Reconstruction Project.

“We understand the essential need for public engagement. To this end we have drafted a comprehensive plan that entails an internal and external communications strategy. One that will ensure engagement, accountability and transparency at every level,” Ms. Brown said.

Members of the public are encouraged to participate in the interactive component of the program by following the social media pages.
