THE EXTENSION WILL FEATURE TWO TARGETED INTERVENTIONS.
The Ministry of Commerce, Manufacturing, Business Development, Cooperatives and Consumer Affairs will introduce the MSME (Micro-, Small and Medium-sized Enterprise) Loan-Grant Facility Extension Phase tomorrow, Tuesday 11th November, 2025.
This extension will feature two targeted interventions focused on strengthening sectors which are integral to improving national food security and building economic resilience—i.e. the baking sector and non-financial producer cooperatives. This is a strategic response to persistent requests for more sector-specific support during the previous rounds of implementation of the Facility. The decision also reflects the Government of Saint Lucia’s commitment to directing resources toward high-impact initiatives that secure livelihoods, stimulate local value chains, and promote financial inclusion.
The MSME Loan-Grant Facility remains a blended financial instrument that combines low-interest loans with grant-funding to provide businesses with critical access to capital. The MSME Loan-Grant Facility Extension will follow a structured application and evaluation process, with detailed eligibility criteria and guidelines.
The event will be held at the NTN Studios in Pointe Seraphine at 10:00 AM. The event's program is attached.
