THE DONATION FORMS PART OF THE COMMISSION’S CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY COMMITMENT.

The OECS Commission donated face shields to the Dame Pearlette Louisy Primary and the Carmen Rene Memorial schools to support their transition to the new COVID-19 safety protcols for the 2020/2021 academic year.

The donation forms part of the Commission’s corporate social responsibility commitment to contribute to the societal goals of OECS Member States and support OECS communities in shaping their shared prosperity.

Principal of the Dame Pearlette Louisy Primary School, Mrs. Ethelene Leonce, thanked the OECS Commission for the donation while principal of the Carmen Rene Memorial School, Mrs. Cyiana Norley-George, said the gesture from the OECS Commission reinforces the school's safety protocols that have been established for the new academic year.

In appreciation of the act of goodwill toward alleviating challenges encountered by children of staff during the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the OECS Commission presented forty-two face shields to the principal and staff of the Camille Henry Memorial School. 

The co-operation initiative between the Camille Henry Memorial School and the OECS Commission facilitated staff of the OECS to resolve the abrupt interruption to “class-room learning. Principal of the Camille Henry Memorial School, Ms. Beverly Dieudonne thanked the OECS Commission for the presentation.

The OECS Commission has partnered with other schools in Saint Lucia and the Commonwealth of Dominica through annual social outreach and educational activities.
