The television allows members to keep abreast of Chamber discussions when in the members lounge.
The Office of the Parliament received a generous donation from the Chief Executive Officer of the Boka Group.
On Wednesday, John Kennedy presented the Office of the Parliament with a new television.
Kennedy said the gesture was a small one from a foreign investor that will contribute to a stable, economic and political environment.
"My office told me there was a problem with the television here at Parliament and I said let’s try to assist to get the television back up and running. We were happy to do it. We are happy to spare the taxpayers the expense."
According to the Boka Group website, Kennedy is the Co-founder and Co-CEO of the Boka Group, a global alternative asset management and investment advisory firm formed in 2005. He also served as a Political Secretary to a member of the British Cabinet between 1987 and 1989 and was a former member of the British Royal Household having served as Equerry and then Private Secretary.
Acting Clerk of Parliament, Lyndell Gustave, said the donation is timely.
"On behalf of the Parliament office, we are truly grateful for the small donation – small but significant in a number of ways. Most of the time, members take a break from the Chamber to come upstairs, and they would like to know what is happening in the Chamber, so that television came at a very good time."
The handing over ceremony took place in the member’s lounge at the Office of the Parliament.
