PRIME MINISTER PIERRE WILL PRIORITIZE SECURITY IN THE UPCOMING BUDGET.
Prime Minister Hon. Philip J. Pierre, yesterday, held the first official budget policy meeting in preparation for the 2023/2024 Estimates of Expenditure and Revenue.
The prime minister met with the ministries of National Security, Home Affairs and Justice to listen to their budget submissions and plans to improve national operations.
Prime Minister Pierre said these agencies will be a priority in the upcoming budget presentation as government seeks to strengthen the police force, address case backlogs and implement a number of strategic interventions to deal with matters of national security.
