Prime Minister Dr. Kenny D. Anthony has extended condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Roderick Sanatan, who passed away in Trinidad and Tobago in March.
Sanatan was a former senior lecturer and ICT Projects Coordinator of the Caribbean Institute of Media and Communications (CARIMAC) at UWI, Mona. Prior to this, he served as Director of the Centre for International Studies at the UWI, Cave Hill.
According to Dr. Anthony, Sanatan was a true son of the Caribbean.

He was the General Secretary of the Caribbean Telecommunications Union; he was a founding member of WAAC Caribbean, and he did extensive research and conducted a number of seminars on Communications, Information and Social issues affecting the region," Dr. Anthony said.
"His contributions were driven by passion and a desire for improvement. He was an inspiration and a mentor to many. May his memory live on through his publications, the institutions he served and the many lives he touched. May he rest in peace."
